FAQs

Virtual speech therapy delivers the same services as in-person therapy but via digital platforms. Using video conferencing tools, our speech-language pathologists (SLPs) and SLP Assistants (SLPAs) engage with children and their families directly from their homes. Sessions are interactive, involving games, exercises, and activities tailored to each child’s needs. The initial meeting includes an assessment to determine if virtual therapy suits the child’s requirements and learning style.
-
Virtual speech therapy can benefit children with a range of communication challenges, including speech sound disorders, language delays, stuttering, and literacy difficulties. We assess each child's suitability for virtual therapy during our initial consultation to ensure that our approach aligns with their learning preferences and needs.
Therapy may be direct, 1:1 services, or we may offer consultative sessions or parent/teacher coachig sessions - whatever is the most beneficial for each child and their circumstance.
-
To participate in virtual therapy, you need a stable internet connection, a computer or tablet with a camera, and a quiet space where your child can focus and interact with the therapist without distractions. We will guide you through the setup process to ensure your technology is compatible with our systems.
-
Parental involvement is crucial for maximizing the benefits of virtual therapy. We encourage parents to be present during sessions, if possible, to observe techniques and interventions. We also provide parents with resources and activities to do at home, enhancing skill reinforcement and progress. Regular communication with your child’s SLP will help you stay informed about their development and how to best support them.
-
If our assessment indicates that virtual therapy might not be the best fit for your child, we will discuss alternative options. These may include referring you to in-person services when feasible or providing resources for finding suitable local support. Our primary goal is to ensure that your child receives the best possible care to meet their specific needs.
-
To get started, simply contact us via our website or phone. We will set up an initial consultation to discuss your child’s needs, conduct an assessment, and walk you through the technical setup. This consultation will also give us a chance to answer any further questions you may have and ensure that virtual therapy is the right path for your child.

If you have a strong and stable internet connection capable of video calling, we can serve you and your family or school.
